The Best 10 Most Underrated Travel Destinations That Are Super Beautiful
1.Khao Sok, Thailand
I first saw this beautiful place in my favorite movie- The Meg and I completely fell in love with the place. Asking a travel blogger to share more on the place, I was actually amazed that it’s such a beautiful place.
Here is what Adventure Singh had to say about visiting Khai Sok in Thailand:
One place that I visited that not many people know about is Khao Sok in Thailand. I could describe this place as Avatar in real life.
The whole province is super green and is populated with a lot of limestone rocks just jetting out of the land, forming gorgeous, kind of mountains, I would say.
In Khao Sok is a national park called Khao Sok National Park. Here, there’s a lake that was formed after they built a 300m high damn in front of a river.
The result was probably one of the most beautiful places you’d probably see in your life. Again, there is a number of huge limestone rocks that stick out of the lake forming breathtaking views!
When I was here, I did a tour of the lake and spent a night in beautiful floating bungalows on the lake. It was extremely peaceful. We hiked through the national park and kayaked on the lake too.

If you were to go there, I’d recommend getting water shoes (or something like that) because the hike is extremely wet.
You can check out my vlog about the Khai Sok, where I and a bunch of other travelers regretted not listening to our guide about the shoes. It was HILARIOUS!
Along with this, please please take a camera with you. This place has unbelievable landscapes that are just waiting to be photographed.

2. Monemvasia, Greece
When it comes to Greece, most people visit Santorini and I won’t deny that Santorini is absolutely beautiful! But hey, there are more places you can explore in Greece and one of them is Monemvasia.
Here is what the travel blogger behind Southern European Wanderings had to say about Monemvasia in Greece:
The Peloponnese region of Greece is the setting of one of the most enchanting places in the Mediterranean: Monemvasia.
From the distance, Monemvasia looks like a rock suspended in the sea, but it is actually a peninsula connected with the mainland by a narrow stretch of land.
Its medieval walls hide the remains of a Byzantine city, however, Monemvasia is not just an archaeological site.
While the old town has been abandoned for a long time, the lower town is buzzing with life. Its stone buildings have been restored and now host local artisans’ shops, restaurants, cafés, and boutique hotels.

Visitors are mostly Greeks as Monemvasia seems to be off-the-radar for international tourists.
It is exciting to wander through its stone streets to discover intriguing hidden pathways, alleys, entrances, buildings, and churches.
The charm of the city makes it ideal for couples, it is, in fact, one of the favorite locations by Greeks for a romantic escape.
One of the best activities to do in Monemvasia is to hike to its ancient castle, the path is steep but it is worth the effort.
The top offers breathtaking views of the city and the cobalt sea in the background. It can get quite hot, so take water with you, good shoes, a camera with a wide-angle and… a swimming suit!
On the way down it is, in fact, possible to swim on the rocks beneath the castle’s walls.
It is a good idea to rent a car and explore the area around Monemvasia where there are numerous immaculate beaches untouched by mass tourism such as Pori, Reichia and Kypariss.
It is also worth to take the ferry to reach the beautiful Elafonissos island, 40 km south from Monemvasia. Elafonissos’ wild and exotic beaches are among the most stunning in Greece.

What’s even more exciting about Meteora is its significant history.
First off, Meteora is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Meteora also has a significant geological appearance with enormous rock columns rising above the ground and really old caves – some say that Meteora is the oldest place on earth, in that Meteora has the oldest man-made structures on earth. I have avoided Greece for the past 20 years because of it’s reputation for crowds and less value for money than many other destinations around it but Monemvasia and Meteora look beautiful and unspoiled by over tourism. Another one I’d like to visit is Indonesia since my distance ancestors were from there.
I can relate to that Razena; you should consider exploring these less populated destinations. Monemvasia and Meteora will blow your mind! Time to pack the bags for Indonesia too!
